The Fun You'll Find at the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl 2021

For those of you that have attended the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl in the past, you already know the massive amounts of fun and excitement we've got planned. For anyone that is new to this popular annual event at the Lake of the Ozarks, the information in today's blog is bound to make you want to check us out this year.

Of course, since this year we're adding a couple of days and making the Lake Pub Crawl Passport event last Friday, February 19-Sunday, February 21, there's something new for everyone to learn about us, both the seasoned pub crawlers and the newbies! Keep reading and get ready to get excited!

New This Year

Extra Days - In an effort to make it a little easier to practice social distancing during this year's Lake Pub Crawl, the event will last 3 entire days instead of just 1. This will allow everyone to spread their venue visits out throughout the weekend instead of all trying to cram into the same spaces at the same time.

No Buses - Buses will not be running this year. It would be much too difficult to make those close quarters safe with current concerns. This is another reason this year's event is spread out over an entire weekend. You and your friends can take turns serving as "sober chauffeur" each day or, if no one wants to volunteer for that, we have a wide variety of safe transportation options for you to use at www.LakePubCrawl.com and these will also be listed on our mobile app.

A Mobile App - Also brand new this year, we will be launching a Lake Pub Crawl Passport mobile app which should be available for purchase with a $15 donation early in February. With this app, you will be able to check-in at each stop on the Lake Pub Crawl route which will give you the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Fantastic Prizes

Those fantastic prizes we just mentioned can be accessed in two different categories. First, if you are able to visit at least 50% of this year's venue stops, you are a "Seasoned Crawler" and will be entered to win one of the following prizes.

  • 1 of 8 Pub Crawl Venue Gift Certificate Bundles valued at $100 for assorted lake area establishments
  • A 2-night  stay at Camdon on the Lake
  • A 2-night stay at Inn at Grand Glaize
For anyone that is able to complete 100% of the venue stops during this year's Mardi Gras Lake Pub Crawl Weekend, you are a "Super Crawler" and will be entered to win one of the following grand prizes:

16 Stops (So Far!)

A lot of your favorite Lake Pub Crawl restaurants and bars are back with us again this year plus a few brand new places that you are going to love. As of today, we've got 16 stops for you to enjoy but be sure to keep an eye on our website and social media pages so you'll know if we have a few more join in on the fun. So far, we've got:

  • Arris Pizza & Pub
  • Dam Good Slice

  • High Noon Bar & Grill
  • Inn at Grand Glaize
  • JJ Twig's Pizza & BBQ
  • Lake of the Ozarks Brewing Company

Awesome Live Music

Be sure to bring your dancing shoes because we've got the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks happening all weekend along the Lake Pub Crawl Passport route. We will be updating the website from now until pub crawl weekend as soon as each venue lets us know who will be playing.

Food & Drink Specials

Just like with the awesome live music, many of the Lake Pub Crawl stops will be offering incredible food and drink specials throughout the weekend. We will update each venue's information on the Participating Venues & Details page of our website as that information is sent to us, so be sure to check back often to find out where the best deals are going to be.

Book Your Mardi Gras Weekend Stay

Another feature that will definitely come in handy to you on the Lake Pub Crawl website is our long list of places to stay at the Lake of the Ozarks. We have many lodging partners that would love to host you for the Mardi Gras weekend and many of them will be offering discounts if you mention that you're in town specifically for the Lake Pub Crawl. This is yet another page that will be updated often, so keep your eye on it until you find the perfect place to stay.

As we've mentioned a few times above, the Lake Pub Crawl website is being updated almost daily as new venues, hotels, transportation companies, and sponsors join us. Check back often to see the latest updates. You can also follow us on Facebook or Instagram and even sign up for email newsletters and text messages to stay in-the-know.

All the information you need to attend the biggest Mardi Gras Pub Crawl in Missouri is waiting for you to discover it at www.LakePubCrawl.com. We're looking forward to seeing you in just a few weeks!

Frequently Asked Questions About the Lake Pub Crawl Passport 2021 - Answered!

Anytime something new is introduced, people have questions. Although the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl has been going on for decades now, the new 3-day long Lake Pub Crawl Passport format means things are going to be different than we are all used to.

As the hosting organization, the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce thought long and hard before making any official decisions for this year’s event. Being an organization whose mission ties directly with supporting the local businesses and economy, we knew we could not just cancel one of the biggest annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Canceling the Lake Pub Crawl would lead to a substantial loss in revenue to our community in a time (February) where it’s not easily made up.

Please find answers to our most recent Frequently Asked Questions outlined below:

Why is this year’s event 3 days instead of the traditional 1?

Because there will not be busses this year, we felt adding the two additional days would allow participants additional time to visit all participating venues. Especially if they are seeking a chance at the $1,000 cash prize, which requires 100% completion of passport stops.

Why have the Pub Crawl event if there are no busses?

That’s a great question and is one getting asked heavily right now as we roll out the 2021 Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Passport event details. We want to continue to support our local businesses and community and if we have to modify the event in order for it to take place, then Let’s Do It!

With the understanding busses could not be an option this year due to current pandemic concerns, the Chamber, along with participating venues, agreed. The lake offers a variety of other transportation means (local cab, local transportation companies, Uber, Lyft, etc.) that our participants can take use of.

What about safety?

Just like in previous years, we encourage our participants to be safe and responsible. For convenience, several transportation services will be listed on both the LakePubCrawl.com website as well as the official Mobile App Passport. (The app will be available for purchase in early February.) We have also seen many responses already on our LakePubCrawl Facebook page from local drivers promoting their individual services during our Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras weekend.

What is the “Passport”? That’s new.

Since we are hosting a 3-day event with no busses this year, wristbands did not make sense. Instead, we created a mobile passport app.

All participants will download the app on their phone. The app enables you to check-in at all participating locations, receive their special Lake Pub Crawl promotions, AND win some amazing prizes! Basically, the passport app replaces the wristband used in previous years, identifying you as participating in the 2021 Lake Pub Crawl. Participants will need to have the official passport app to be eligible for prizes. (See Rules & Regulations for passport details.)

Is a Passport required to participate?

The short answer is no. All participating venues will be open during their scheduled hours for both participants and the general public. If you plan to visit at least 50% of the participating venues during the event weekend, we encourage you to participate with a passport to allow yourself the chance to win some amazing prizes! (Visit our website to see the list of prizes.)

We truly hope the majority of your questions about the 2021 Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Passport have been answered above. Please join us on Facebook and Instagram for news and updated information as we continue to finalize plans for this new version of a very popular event.

Also, don't forget to sign up for text alerts by texting LakePubCrawl (all one word) to 71441 so you're always in-the-know about the best Mardi Gras Pub Crawl in Missouri! Start making your own plans to attend right now and we'll look forward to seeing you during the Lake Pub Crawl weekend!

The Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Gets a New Look for 2021

It's time for the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl 2021! We couldn't miss out on the chance to host the best Mardi Gras celebration in Missouri again this year, but due to current concerns surrounding the pandemic, the event will look a little different than usual.

With the help of your personal Lake Pub Crawl Passport, you'll be able to check off each venue visited and be entered to win some amazing prizes at the same time! Here's a quick look at the plans we've made for you so far.

3 Days to Party!

Rather than just one single day for everyone to party together, the 2021 Lake Pub Crawl will take place over three days - February 19, 20, & 21. This will allow everyone more time to celebrate so not everyone is crowded into the same spaces all at the same time.

We are still busy putting the final touches on many of the details for this event, but here are the participating bars and restaurants that have joined us for this year's Lake Pub Crawl so far.

  • Arris' Pizza & Pub
  • High Noon Pub & Grill
  • Inn at Grand Glaize
  • JJ Twig's Pizza & BBQ
  • Lake of the Ozarks Brewing Co.
  • Lucky's Bar & Grill
  • Shawnee Bluff Winery
  • S.N.A.F.U. Bar
  • Tirebiters Peanut Pub
  • Tucker's Shuckers Oyster & Tap
  • Vista Grande Mexican Restaurant
  • Wicked Willie's Sports Grill

Get the App

Right now is the time to save these dates (February 19-21, 2021), begin making travel plans, and get those hotel rooms or rental houses booked for your Mardi Gras vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks

In early February, the LOZ Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Passport App will be available for purchase with a $15 donation in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. (Purchase of the app is not necessary to participate. Please read the Rules & Regulations found at www.LakePubCrawl.com for complete details.) If you have additional questions, please call the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at 573-964-1008 or email us at info@LakePubCrawl.com

Win BIG Prizes

As you visit each participating Lake Pub Crawl stop throughout the weekend, you will "check-in" using the designated LOZ Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Passport app.

Once you have officially checked in at 50% of the stops, you will be entered into a drawing for some incredible prizes. If you are able to visit 100% of the stops on this year's list, you will also be entered for a chance to win the grand prize of $1,000!

Some of the prizes being given away this year include over $1,000 in gift certificates to participating Lake Pub Crawl venues. We are also giving away one giant prize package which includes:

  •  $300 in gift certificates for the Regalia Hotel & Conference Center
  • A 1-night stay in a Lakeview Grand Suite at Camden on the Lake
  • 2-$25 gift certificates for Horny Toad Entertainment Complex
  • 2-Adult passes for Bridal Cave
  • 2-Tickets to the Royal Theatre
  • $25 Gift certificate for Malted Monkey
  • $25 Gift card for Paradise Restaurant & Bar
  • $25 Gift card for Dog Days/Shorty Pants/Wobbly Boots
  • $25 Gift card for Li'l Rizzo's Italian Restaurant
  • $25 Gift card for The Barn-B-Que Smokehouse
  • 1 Lady's logo polo
  • 1 Men's logo polo
  • A sleeve of logo golf balls
  • Flip flop keychain
  • Other Lake logo items

Plan Your Stay... & Your Ride!

Buses will not be included in this year's event however, there are a variety of transportation opportunities (local cab and shuttle companies) in the area. We will be adding a list of these on both our website and the mobile app to help you plan for safe travels as you make your way through this year's event. Drinking kills driving skills so please, do not drink and drive!

We will also be adding links for a variety of places to stay while you are enjoying Mardi Gras Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks as those details are sent to us. If any of these establishments will be offering lodging specials during our event, you'll find that information on our website. You can also find additional lodging options in the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Directory

The Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl 2021 may look a little different this year but one thing is for sure, it's going to be an exciting event that you do not want to miss! Keep an eye on our social media pages (links below) for all the latest updates leading up to this amazing event. New color routes have been established and busses in route will be matching. That’s right, we’re painting busses to help attendees identify which bus will be on which route!

Don't let today's weather detour you from enjoying the one and only Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl.  Enjoy your snow day and pack your bags to head to the Lake of the Ozarks for a fun-filled day and night with friends.  The forecast is showing mostly sunny and 41 degrees on Saturday.  MoDot and our great cities will ensure the roads are clear and ready for the busses to start at 4 pm on Saturday.  Don't forget to pick up your wrist bands and your t-shirts, the t-shirts won't last long.  We can't wait to see everyone on Saturday!  Let's Crawl Lake of the Ozarks!!!!
