The biggest party at the Lake of the Ozarks is just over a month away! Do you know where you're staying while you're in town? Even if you already live here, you might want to pick a hotel on the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl route and have your own"stay-cation." 

There are lots of hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals to choose from in the lake area. The Lake Pub Crawl website has already compiled a list of quite a few of them, and more may be added before the big event on Saturday, February 17, 2018. 

Even though there are plenty of places to stay, there will be LOTS of people in town for this unbelievable event, so you'll want to make reservations ASAP before all of the best places are booked up. 

On-Route Lodging
All of the hotels listed in this section are on the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl route, which means the event buses will offer pick-up and drop-off service to each of them. Great Gift Ideas For Your Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Pals

Since Mardi Gras is still a couple of months away and Christmas is only a couple of weeks away, everyone is talking about what types of gift ideas that they can give to the people on their list. Well, most likely many of the friends on your list are also people that you would like to join you at the best Mardi Gras party in Missouri. For that reason, our Mardi Gras Pub Crawl at the Lake of the Ozarks team came up with a few gift ideas for you to encourage those people to make plans now to be here next February 17, 2018. 

Gift Cards
There are already 13 incredible bars & restaurants scheduled as stops for the pub crawl this year. Your $10 wristband gets you on the bus that will take you to all of them, so a gift card to any (or all) of those places would be a wonderful thing to give to someone as a gift. If you guys simply can't wait until February, you could even use the gift cards early to stake out where your favorite stops will be.  

Hotel Reservations
If you go ahead and book a room for them, they'll simply have to come! You can find a list of the many places to stay for the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl on our website. Some are on the bus route and you can be picked up and dropped off right at their door, and there are more that are located off-route but will be shuttling pub crawlers to and from the event. Be sure to ask about special Mardis Gras Pub Crawl rates when you call to make the reservation. 

Beads
Not only a needed item for the pub crawl, but also a very colorful and fun gift to give! Gather a bunch of cool beads (or simply re-gift that pile you have left over from last year) and put them into a box or gift bag. It will make for one heavy present that they'll be anxious to dig into. 

Masks
Mardi Gras masks are a tradition, plus it's a lot easier to have some uninhibited fun when you're wearing one! You'll want to find something unique and impressive that will really stand out in a crowd. Keep comfort in mind too though. They'll want to be able to wear it for the entire event, which begins at 4:00 pm and doesn't end until the bars close. (Unless you're set to after-party, which means it could last much longer!)

Pick out some matching shirts or jackets for your entire group to wear. It's a great way to keep track of each other throughout the event, plus it's a wonderful way to draw attention and possibly get more beads from the other pub crawlers! Use funny sayings like "We like big BEADS and we cannot lie!" "Cajun Drinking Team" or "Show me the beads (and maybe I'll show you mine!)" Of course, you could also all wear last year's official Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl shirts until you get here, and then pick up the 2018 version before you go out for the night.

The Lake of the Ozarks' biggest party is less than a month away! Our venues are set, entertainment is falling into place, and lodging specials are finally here! The only thing left, is for our amazing customers and fans to show up and enjoy a legendary night out on the town!

Budweiser Presents the World’s Largest Mardi Gras Pub Crawl celebrating 12 Years at Lake of the Ozarks!

 LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MO— The 12th Anniversary for the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl, 4:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, is not only expected to be the largest ever held at the Lake—it’s also likely to be the largest in the world.  “According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest pub crawl had 2,800 participants. Last year, we sold 5,700+ wristbands for the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl, and this year we’re hoping to attract 6,500 people,” says event organizer- Jeff Carroll. “So even though our pub crawl isn’t certified by Guinness, it’s got to be the world’s largest.”

 During the Pub Crawl, visitors will safely ride 22 buses to 20 participating bars and restaurants.  Six smaller shuttle buses will also transport “crawlers” from participating lodging properties, starting at 3:00 p.m.

Throughout the evening, buses will make a continuous loop along Highway 54, Osage Beach Parkway and Business Highway 54, stopping at each venue. Restaurant stops will offer great food from Ozarks barbecue to Chicago-style pizza, prime rib and seafood to Mexican favorites and more.The bars will offer live rock, blues and country music, as well as DJ’s and karaoke.  Visitors will be able to collect plenty of Mardi Gras beads and souvenirs along the way.

Wristbands, which allow wearers to enter all 20 restaurants and board the buses, will cost $7.00 and will be available at participating bars and restaurants. Wristbands must be purchased in order to enter all of the participating establishments.   Participants must be 21 years old to purchase wristbands. However, Carroll notes, “Even if you are wearing a wristband, you’ll still have to show your ID at Pub Crawl bars and restaurants.”  He adds, on Pub Crawl evening, you must wear a wristband to be allowed in to participating establishments. Collectible Pub Crawl t-shirts will be available for $20.  “A lot of people wear these and check off the places they’ve visited, which are listed on the back of the shirt,” Carroll says.

 To assure everyone has a fun and safe experience, a security guard will be aboard every bus. “Participating bars and restaurants will have extra security for the night and a fire marshal at the door to make sure they don’t exceed the legal capacity,” Carroll says.

He adds, “With the help of local police and Liquor Control plus area lodging properties, we work hard to make sure the Pub Crawl is a success for everyone involved.  Plus it’s a great value,” Carroll notes. “For just $7 you’ve paid the cover charge to 20 bars and restaurants, and you can let someone else do the driving.”

Lodging for the 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Pub Crawl

The Mardi Gras Pub Crawl are expecting the Biggest and Baddest Pub Crawl we have ever had!  This year we have more bars, more lodging, more sponsors and we are expecting MORE Pub Crawlers decked in their finest beads and Mardi Gras apparel.  It's easy to make the night fun for everyone - make sure you have two things squared away before you go out.

1. Find a Designated Driver or plug in the number of your favorite Cab - there will be cabs as well as shuttle buses that can pick you up (between 3pm-4pm) and take you to your hotel (between 11:30pm-2:30am)
2. Book a room to avoid the drive home.  It is the safest way to a good time and it lets you party even later because you can easily get a shuttle back to your room.
